What are the 2012 Nostradamus predictions? And how has Nostradamus become connected to it? Why is this so? How did he come up with his prophecies? All this and more are discussed in this article.

The renowned prophet Nostradamus (Michel de Nostradame) was born on December 14, 1503 in St. Remy, Provence, France. Nostradamus came from a long line of Jewish doctors and scholars. His family had converted from Judaism to Christianity in 1502, as a result of persecution on the ascension of Louis the XII. After a classical education he studied medicine, herbalism and astrology.

A REAL PROPHET?

How does Nostradamus conduct his predictions? We can never know, but he describes his source of knowledge, however, in his first two passages. He describes how magnificent and awe-inspiring his source is.

Alone, reposing over the brass tripod,

A slender flame leaps out of the solitude,

Making me pronounce that which is not in vain.

With divining rod in hand, I wet the limb and foot,

Set in the middle of the branches.

Fearsome awe trembles my hand,

I await, Heavenly Splendor! The Divine Genius sitteth by.

Surely he felt a paranormal experience in a setting very commemorative of a ritual occult. In the second verse he describes how he trembles during his visitations of the future. God Himself may have been present in his visions, as referred in his second verse as the “Divine Genius”.

PROOF OF GREATNESS

So, where are the verses that predict total annihilation of the earth on 2012? The 2012 Nostradamus verses? The truth is there are no such verses written by Nostradamus. Yes, none of his thousand verses speak of 2012 as the final date of humanity’s destruction. However, there are more than enough prophecies to prove that Nostradamus was far from saying nonsense sooth. Here is an example:

Religion of the name of the seas shall come,

Against the Sect of Caitifs of the Moon,

The deplorably obstinate sect, shall be afraid,

Of the two wounded by A. and A.

This verse is a very accurate depiction of the war between America and Afghanistan, or A and A, in the 21^st century. The “Caitifs of the Moon” is an incredible reference to the Arab people of Afghanistan. It is terrifyingly correct down to the names of those included in the war. Still not convinced, here’s another example:

A siege laid to a city, and assaulted by night,
A few shall escape to fight not far from the sea,
A woman swoons for joy to see her son returned,
A poison hidden in the fold of letters.

While the first few lines could mean any siege that have occurred in the last century, the last line is what will interest you most. “A poison hidden in the fold of letters” is none other than the famous Anthrax scare that hit Washington D.C. and the rest of the country a few years ago. How could Nostradamus have described Anthrax with such clarity and authority? Only a real prophet like Nostradamus could have done so.

THE 2012 NOSTRADAMUS VERSES

Now here are the 2012 Nostradamus verses that can possibly be related to 2012. While these verses don’t speak of the date, they depict some of the end of the world scenarios that most 2012 theories also describe.

In the year five hundred eighty more or less,

There shall be a strange age,

In the year seven hundred and three (witness heaven)

Many kingdoms, one to five shall be changed.

According to expert translations, a few years after the new millennium many kingdoms (countries) will undergo a shift of power politically, which commences a third global war. Five nations will be changed, which can indicate America, Japan and China among others. This is the perfect setup for the end of the world as we know it.

Another prophecy foretells of earth’s destruction because of Sun’s natural death. However it’s also explicitly stated that it will happen after seven thousand years, so this may not be a 2012 Nostradamus verse after all:

Twenty years of the reign of the moon having passed,

Seven thousand years another shall hold his monarchy,

When the sun shall resume his days past,

Then is fulfilled and ends my prophecy.

Finally, here is a 2012 Nostradamus verse that promises for a new hope and a new era of enlightenment and peace after so much strife and hurting possibly due to the third world war. Can December 21, 2012 signify this new alteration in human consciousness from being too materialistic to being spiritual?

Nostradamus is the most prolific and most learned prophet ever, and he has evidence to prove that he is so. On 2012, he has another chance to prove himself yet again through the 2012 Nostradamus verses.
