Wednesday – A fresh fire broke out at a reactor of Japan’s Fukushima No 1 nuclear power plant early today (same reactor as yesterday), smoke was pouring from the roof of the number-four reactor at the plant, as per an operator of Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO), which was confirmed by satellite images…. The remaining 50 workers were evacuated after radiation levels there have surged and allowed back in less than an hour later.

White fumes emerging from the plant may constitute radioactive steam that has breached Unit 3′s containment, as per Chief cabinet secretary Yukio Edano.

According to WikiLeaks Japan was warned more than two years ago that Japan’s nuclear power plants safety rules were not up to date and not capable of enduring powerful earthquakes by a Nuclear Watchdog group.

Tuesday – Japan Nuclear Catastrophe now worse than 3 Mile Island:

Japan Nuclear Catastrophe now worse than 3 Mile Island. Classified as a level 6 out of a 7 – Chernobyl being a 7 (Ukraine 1986) -With two reactors exploding despite efforts to cool them. Three Mile Island (Pennsylvania 1979) was rated a level 5 by comparison.

“We are clearly in a catastrophe.” says ASN president Andre-Claude Lacoste.

On Three Mile Island, thick concrete armor around the reactor called the containment shell, did it’s job and held the radiation leak . The Chernobyl reactor had no shell and was also operational when the disaster struck. The Japanese reactors automatically shut down when the quake hit.

Prime Minister Naoto Kan said radiation had spread from four reactors.

Potassium iodide pills were being distributed as a precaution against radiation over-exposure.

A Missionary family just made contact with a local church and sent out this message: …”Because of the danger of radiation contamination, sensors are in place every 20 km from the site.  As of about 1 hour ago, a sensor 100 km south of the Fukushima site registered 100X normal radiation.  So radiation is leaking, but a normal X-Ray exposes you to 1000X normal radiation (although briefly)…”  They’re approx 200km from the nuclear plant. 100x’s is more than the 40x’s the media reported.

There is thought that Japan radioactivity could enter food chain, and kids could be put at risk; as radiation travels on moisture droplets in the air and lands as dew – the cows eat the dew and kids drink the milk.

Lee Tin-lap, toxicologist and associate professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong’s School of Medical Sciences, said “Steam that is released into the air will eventually get back into the water and sea life will be affected … once there is rain, drinking water will also be contaminated. No one is measuring the levels of radiation in the sea” .

If this so happens to be the beginning of things to come approaching 2012 …. God help us.

Saturday – As progress is made at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, in reactivating cooling systems the discovery of small amounts of radioactivity food and water, which was discovered in milk and spinach near the power plant, raises new worries. It could potentially be in fish as well.

Tokyo Electric Power [Tepco] said radiation levels at the plant had exceeded the legal limit  – Sunday morning. Japan’s nuclear safety agency said – hourly radiation at the site was measured at 882 micro sievert, in excess of the allowable level of 500.  The level had briefly risen 1,204 micro sievert said Edano.

Authorities released steam to relieve pressure from the second overheating reactor.

Japan’s Self-Defense Forces started dumping water from a helicopter on reactor No. 3, and they plan to do the same for No. 4

Tokyo Electric was also working to complete a high power line to the nuclear plant to restore the electricity needed to run the cooling systems.

The Mayans believe that one galactic day of 25,625 years are divided into five cycles of 5,125 years.  The Mayan End of 12-21-2012 marks the end of the fifth cycle of the Ancient Maya Long Court Calendar.  Although this is the end of one cycle, it will be followed by another and what that cycle has in store for us is yet to be known.

The Mayan people believe that the world will end 12-21-2012.  Not on a physical level as in a natural or man-made disaster but rather a transition into one World Age into another.  The Mayan End indicates an end of the world as we know it and a start of something different and better.

The sky will also send us a message that foretells the Mayan End.  The sun will move to a specific point in the sky and hold it there for a while as it will be solstice day.  The suns position will be between the Milky Way and the galactic equinox (the Sacred Tree) actually forming a perfect alignment with the centre of the galaxy.

The Mayan people know a lot about the stars.  They have been able to predict every solar and lunar eclipse to this day!  They have also calculated the exact duration of a year to a thousand of a decimal point, which is more precise then the Greek philosophers.

The message they bring to us is the choices we have to make on how to enter the future and new world age.  We can enter this future with acceptance or resistance and this will determine whether we will encounter catastrophic challenges or peace and a sense of calm.

The old world “me me me” mentally that is founded on greed, separation, materialism and selfishness has reached highly dangerous limits on our planet.  We are reaching dangerous population limits causing physical and spiritual struggles and our world’s environmental crisis is causing many challenges that we must face.

Alternately, we are entering as the Mayan End describes, a new age where we can come together as one people and save our planet.  Combine our collective knowledge and scientific research to improve our odds at a better future.  We have a responsibility to this planet and the time is now.

Everything we think, say and do can effect this new world age transformation.  We need to become aware of how our thoughts, intentions and actions affect the whole.  We need to see and understand how we can participate in the transformation of this new world from everything through our intentions and actions as individuals and as a whole.

As the Mayan End approaches we need to shed the ideals that we are the victims and to reform ourselves as healers and collectively assist each other to bring this world into the future.  We need to educate ourselves and not be naive to the future that is ahead.

As some doomsday professors have preached, that 2012 will be the end of the world due to catastrophic events that will cause confusion, destruction and desperate times for any that survive.  The Mayan End, as we have described, is something completely different.

These codes, which were made famous by the book The Bible Code, are said to be able to predict the future once they are decoded but many skeptics and religious groups strongly deny this. The Bible code can be viewed as part of the Jewish culture which has a long tradition of interpretation, annotation and commentary regarding the Bible and this includes the concepts of exegesis (a critical explanation or interpretation of a text) and exegesis (the process of misinterpreting a text so that someone can add their own ideas into it).

There is also a way of looking for hidden prophecies and passages in the Bible that is know as the “Bible Code”, a software program that searches for these messages.  In very simple language this means that the spaces between words are eliminated and the  Old Testament becomes a block of continuous Hebrew letters. Then letters are skipped at a programmed interval while the program searches for words and there appear  to be patterns to the passages where these words are found.

One specific encryption method of the Bible code is WRR (Witztum, Rips, Resenberg) which was discovered by Dr. Eliyahu Rips, a world leading expert in group theory, which is a field of mathematics that underlies quantum physics.  This method has become known as the “Equidistant Letter Sequences (ELS) in the Book of Genesis”. This next sentence is a simplified example of how the code works when every fourth letter is used and all spaces removed:

‘Rips ExplAineD thaT eacH codE is a Case Of adDing Every fourth or twelfth or fiftieth letter to form a word.’  The hidden message is READ THE CODE.

Journalist Michael Drosnin met with mathematician Eliyahu Rips and his associate Alexander Rotenber in Israel in 1992, which inspired Michael Drosnin to begin researching the Bible Code. It materialized in becoming an author of many books, especially his most famous book, the Bible Code, which have been criticized by some who acknowledge the Bible Code is exists, however the critics suggest that it cannot predict the future.

Nostradamus Predicted 2012 as Doomsday Date

Answer: FALSE

Michel de Nostradame, more known as Nostradamus, has published collections of prophecies that is now famous worldwide, especially the internet. His prophecies can be sometimes very specific or very vague, depending on very flexible interpretation.

One of the more famous predictions associated with him is the December 2012 the end of the world doomsday. Nothing could be more wrong with this doomsday connection. While some of Nostradamus’ prophecies may (and I stress, may) point to 2012, none of his thousand prophecies speak of the specific date. Nostradamus’ real doomsday date, one where he really speaks of a date, was scheduled last August 1999 and did not happen (because obviously we’re still here). Some of his prophecies, like his prediction of Adolf Hitler and World War 2, or the World Trade Center bombing, are more than enough to offset this failed prediction however.

The Mayan Calendar Ends on 2012

Answer: TRUE

The Mayan Mesoamerican Calendar really ends on 2012, specifically on December 21, 2012. The calendar is the backbone of all other 2012 doomsday theories – most scenarios seamlessly collate with the Mayan Calendar system, making the 2012 doomsday the most scientific end of the world prediction ever. The Long Count calendar completes a “great cycle” of thirteen b’ak’tuns, each composing of 144,000 days each, on the exact date.

What isn’t true about the calendar, however, is the assumption that the Mayans themselves interpret the end of their calendar as the final date of mankind. For example, on the 2012 end of the world movie aptly titled “2012”, Mayans are portrayed as people believing in the end date, and Mayan tribes in the movie were even depicted to conduct mass suicides because of the belief. The movie entirely negates the real stand of the Mayans regarding their calendar. The Maya are life-loving people, and what they believe is that their calendar is like any other calendar – it starts back from the beginning once it ends. After December 21, 2012, the world is ushered into the Age of Aquarius, according to the Mayan Calendar.

The Bible States that the World Will End on 2012

Answer: FALSE

This is easily false. While the Bible does say that the world will end with tribulations and disasters for mankind, it doesn’t say when all of this will happen. The Bible explicitly states that the “end” will come like “a thief in the night”, and it will happen when people weren’t looking, and when they least expect it. Even Jesus Christ did not reveal the hour of doom! So, in Biblical context, how can we ever predict the date for the end of the world?

The Bible does say that before the doomsday, there will be signs, like massive earthquakes and major global wars, poverty and famine. Every single one of these signs has already come true – so is it just about time for the world to end? Good question.

What is Planet X?

When an orbital discrepancy was discovered between the gas giants Neptune and Uranus, there was considerable speculation that another planet, possibly larger than those two planets, existed somewhere out there. Planet X became the tentative name of this object that remains to be seen. Only the gravity of an unseen planet could have perturbed Uranus’ orbit, according to Percival Lowell, the first Planet X proponent. Pluto was discovered soon thereafter and for a while Pluto was considered this Planet X. After a few observations, however, that Pluto was not massive enough to account for an orbital anomaly. The Sumerian Account of Planet X and 2012

The four horsemen of the apocalypse ride on white, red, black, and pale green horses which signify pestilence, war, famine and death.  They’re to bring forth this apocalypse on the earth and the end of it as we know it as part of the final judgement before God.

The first of four horsemen of the apocalypse: Some people believe the rider of the white horse represents the plague as he yields a bow and arrow which is believed to bring illness onto the people of the earth.  The white horseman is also believed by many to be the antichrist.  He is also given a crown and he will ride out as a conquer hell bent on conquest.

The second of four horsemen of the apocalypse: The rider of the second fiery red horse many believe represents war.  He carries a sword suggesting blood will be spilled on the battlefield.  He is given the power to make men slay each other in pure hatred.  Some also believe he represents the spiritual war brought by Christ in the end times.

The final of four horsemen of the apocalypse: The fourth rider of the pale green horse is named death. He is given power over a quarter of the earth to kill by sword, famine, plague and by the wild beasts of the earth.  This horseman has no weapon but is followed by hell.  (Alternately some people have depicted this horseman as carrying a scythe or a sword)  The pale colour of this horse is to represent sickness and death.

When the fifth seal is opened it is followed by a “vision” of those that were “slain for the word of God”. Each is given a white robe and told to wait and God will avenge them.

When the sixth seal is opened, a great earthquake is seen as well as signs in heaven.  The sun turns black, the moon turns red and the stars fall to the earth, the sky recedes and every mountain and island is removed from its place.  No one can hide from the judgement of the Lord. Also 144,000 of God’s own will be “sealed in their foreheads”.

Then the final of the seven seals is opened and is followed by silence. Then seven angels stand before God and are each given a trumpet, sounding them one by one.

The renowned prophet Nostradamus (Michel de Nostradame) was born on December 14, 1503 in St. Remy, Provence, France. Nostradamus came from a long line of Jewish doctors and scholars. His family had converted from Judaism to Christianity in 1502, as a result of persecution on the ascension of Louis the XII. After a classical education he studied medicine, herbalism and astrology.

A REAL PROPHET?

How does Nostradamus conduct his predictions? We can never know, but he describes his source of knowledge, however, in his first two passages. He describes how magnificent and awe-inspiring his source is.

Surely he felt a paranormal experience in a setting very commemorative of a ritual occult. In the second verse he describes how he trembles during his visitations of the future. God Himself may have been present in his visions, as referred in his second verse as the “Divine Genius”.

PROOF OF GREATNESS

So, where are the verses that predict total annihilation of the earth on 2012? The 2012 Nostradamus verses? The truth is there are no such verses written by Nostradamus. Yes, none of his thousand verses speak of 2012 as the final date of humanity’s destruction. However, there are more than enough prophecies to prove that Nostradamus was far from saying nonsense sooth. Here is an example:

This verse is a very accurate depiction of the war between America and Afghanistan, or A and A, in the 21^st century. The “Caitifs of the Moon” is an incredible reference to the Arab people of Afghanistan. It is terrifyingly correct down to the names of those included in the war. Still not convinced, here’s another example:

A poison hidden in the fold of letters.

While the first few lines could mean any siege that have occurred in the last century, the last line is what will interest you most. “A poison hidden in the fold of letters” is none other than the famous Anthrax scare that hit Washington D.C. and the rest of the country a few years ago. How could Nostradamus have described Anthrax with such clarity and authority? Only a real prophet like Nostradamus could have done so.

THE 2012 NOSTRADAMUS VERSES

Now here are the 2012 Nostradamus verses that can possibly be related to 2012. While these verses don’t speak of the date, they depict some of the end of the world scenarios that most 2012 theories also describe.

There shall be a strange age,

In the year seven hundred and three (witness heaven)

Many kingdoms, one to five shall be changed.

According to expert translations, a few years after the new millennium many kingdoms (countries) will undergo a shift of power politically, which commences a third global war. Five nations will be changed, which can indicate America, Japan and China among others. This is the perfect setup for the end of the world as we know it.

Another prophecy foretells of earth’s destruction because of Sun’s natural death. However it’s also explicitly stated that it will happen after seven thousand years, so this may not be a 2012 Nostradamus verse after all:

Nostradamus is the most prolific and most learned prophet ever, and he has evidence to prove that he is so. On 2012, he has another chance to prove himself yet again through the 2012 Nostradamus verses.

Toronto took some geological beating of its own when a magnitude 5.0 earthquake shook most of Eastern Canada last June 23, at about 1:41 PM New York time. Train service was interrupted for the most part and forced lawmakers and government workers in Ottawa abandon their buildings.

U.S. Geological Survey estimates show that the earthquake was centered about 53 kilometers northeast of Ottawa. Places as far as Ohio, New York and Massachusetts even felt the tremors of the strong earthquake, one of the strongest of the decade, according to Bruce Presgrave, a Colorado USGS geophysicist.

Several emergency vehicles could be heard with their sirens in downtown Ottawa, and Parliament Hill was evacuated by government employees. Important locations such as the Bank of Canada and the train stations throughout Canada were closed immediately. There were no major damage or deaths reported, however.

The last time an earthquake of this magnitude happened was in 2000, when a 5.2 magnitude earthquake shook most of Quebec. The Quebec Seismic Zone, where the Ottawa area is included, gets three to four earthquakes a year though not of this magnitude. The most damaging earthquake in this area occurred last 1935, on a 6.1 Richter scale magnitude.

Passenger train service in the triangle between Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto resumed in late afternoon after a three-hour interruption for track inspections, Via Rail spokeswoman Elizabeth Huard said in a telephone interview. Travelers should expect delays of 45 minutes to three hours, she said.

Many Twitter followers exclaimed that this was childish Twitter talk about claiming which city owned the earthquake. But if arguments, not unit, arise in a disaster such as this, is there still hope for us when we cannot even cooperate.

The G-20 Angle

The tremor comes three days before leaders from the Group of 20 countries converge on Toronto to debate ways of coordinating exit strategies from fiscal stimulus. The G-20 was established in 1999 to tackle financial crisis and further strengthen international cooperation. Why does an earthquake so rare suspiciously happen three days before a global cooperative plan takes place? Here are some of the signs that mark steep and highly unorthodox changes in the human race which strengthens claims that the world is really bound to end sooner rather than later.

Poverty and Famine is Rampant

This is the evidence of a true apocalypse now. People in Africa are starving, and one-third of people from third-world countries live under $1 a day. We have better technology especially in producing food, but every year, an escalating number of people become more famished and deprived of basic needs. The Bible says that before the world will end, the rich will enjoy luxury at the expense of billions of others dying because of their greed. Only at least 3% of humanity is enjoying life to the fullest. It’s about time the other 97% is emancipated from the bondage of poverty: an apocalypse that crosses all social strata.

Natural Wrath of Mother Earth

Mother Earth’s not happy these days. She was most furious this year, in 2010, when Haiti was shook so tremendously with an earthquake and killed more than half a million of Haitians. On the previous years tsunamis were prevalent and didn’t stop coming; hurricanes passed by America more frequently every year, and storms are now more violent than ever. If the planet is already starting to incur wrath upon us, is it possible that a final culmination on December 21, 2012 will arise? General Deterioration of Human Values

The human race has become worse in general. Our crime rates increased, because of poverty.  Greed and corruption is rampant in government systems. The family, the basic unit of any society, is now in fragments and can be easily broken now more than ever. People are now lonelier, largely due to the psychotic effects of addictive technology, such as cellphones and the internet. Everywhere hope cannot be seen. People are not helping one another – each person is out for himself. Massive events of destruction aside, this is easily a tacit description of a human race in an apocalypse now.

In conclusion, these five factors can easily prove why an apocalypse is soon coming. But, you may ask, how are we going to prepare for such massive grand display of destruction, according to the theories? Well, we also need to take extraordinary measures – measures that we wouldn’t even do in the face large-scale disasters such as earthquakes. We still got a few years ahead, and if this 2012 end of the world theory is indeed true, we must be thankful for we are given enough time to prepare for it. As they say, preparation is half of the success, and if we prepare well ahead of time, you are not only at the frontlines for survival, you can be in control of it.

Nancy Lieder, according to her website ZetaTalk, is a “contactee”, an emissary with the ability to receive messages from extra-terrestrials, named “Zetas” from the Zeta Reticuli star system through a Zetan genetic implant in her brain. Kind of hard to believe isn’t it? Then you may be appalled with the fact that lots of people believe her and her claims that the world is going to end very soon through the Nibiru collision, with the latest end date being December 21, 2012. In her website Nancy claims that she became aware of her contactee status in 1993, and was enrolled into a Hybrid program and, get this, produced Hybrid children!

But can you ever trust these claims from somebody who, by her own admission, didn’t know which end of a telescope to look through? Regardless, Nancy Lieder claims to have a stranglehold on the truth, and that “if any human theory differs, it is wrong”, and has a page dedicated to the accuracy of the Zeta predictions on ZetaTalk. But she has yet to prove even a single one of her prophecies to be true. The worst blow on her prophesying career came when the world didn’t come to an end on May of 2003. Of course, she saved her sorry reputation by saying that what she told was a “white lie” because, she says, the powerful people might take advantage of her information and declare martial laws, causing people to die. But this is not the only prophecy of hers that didn’t come true. Here are some others:

2)      The 12th Planet would be sighted by late 2002.

3)      Domino earthquakes

4)      Comet Hale-Bopp would not draw nearer

5)      Crop Failure

6)      Market Crash

7)      Financial Freeze with barter systems taking the place of paper money

Then she goes own depicting the kinds of sentient beings that she encountered, such as the “Short Skinny Zeta”, the “Pumpkin Head Zeta”, and other alien types like the “Chicken Man” and the “Broom Stick Man”. This can easily be laughed off as nonsensical and stupid, but the reality remains that many people look at her as the genuine emissary of the Zetas.

Nancy Lieder is not a scientist, has no scientific training, and churns out megabytes of useless and nonsensical chatter instead of useful information. She explains scientific observations in a laughable manner, and when confronted with a difficult question, her only fallback is saying that the Zetas knew more than what Human Beings knew.

In light of this information about her, can you ever lead yourself to believe Nancy Lieder? The Web Bot is basically a prediction program created by Clif High and associate George Ure, the “Time Monks”, they call themselves, and its original intention was to make prediction of stock market trends using the internet, using robot “spiders” to search the internet for keywords related to the stock market. What they found out, according to their claims, however, was when they used the bot to search for 300,000 key emotional words, including the text preceding and superseding the keyword, they supposedly created a “snapshot” of the so called “collective unconscious” of internet, and effectively, of humanity.

From then on the Web Bot project was further specialized to search for trends of the “collective unconscious”. However, how they exactly do this search of a bizarre kind, the technology and the algorithm, ultimately, is kept secret. They claim to have predicted the Sept. 11 tragedy of the World Trade Center weeks before it actually happened. The Web Bot is also said to have predicted the anthrax attacks, the Space Shuttle Columbia maritime disaster, the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake, Hurricane Katrina, and a lot more cataclysms and disasters.

However, what they don’t see is the much larger list of what it did not predict accurately. From a supposed massive earthquake in Vancouver, to a global coastal event in 2009, from a complete US dollar collapse to Israel bombing Iran purportedly after Barack Obama sits as U.S. President – a large number of their claims didn’t really come true. And what does it say should happen in 2012?

First, the specific 2012 prediction is that a major cataclysm, while not actually ending the world, is going to occur on 2012, either because of the reversing of the north and south magnetic poles or a small number of nuclear attacks leading up to a major attack. What’s interesting is that they also have a prediction of what’s going to happen a year after that: in 2013 they find a “data gap” similar to the pre-electronic state of humanity, implicating that a devastating activity has just destroyed the world’s major information systems.

So, are we to really believe what the Web Bot Project is actually saying to us? We cannot be sure, but whatever people think this machine can do, there are simply some things it cannot predict: humanity’s subconscious surely has no power to effect a collision course between the earth and other heavenly bodies, or similar other things.

See, the Web Bot Project is merely a method of collecting data from the internet, and we all know the internet has a lot of false information looming from all over. It cannot possibly filter the truth from the lies and so they can make a more truthful prediction. Ultimately, the Web Bot Project is simply a set of calculated guesses using a computer. But nothing can be much deadlier than an asteroid of massive size smashing into Earth. And that happened over 65 million years ago. A large asteroid smashed into Earth, and scientists think it caused global earthquakes, huge tidal waves and fires that blocked out the sun, subsequently killing large land animals, making some species go extinct.

Now, you may think, “Can another asteroid come and destroy the earth again?” The answer is a very chilling yes. We may not know when this will happen, or if it will occur in 2012, but it is very likely to happen. Therefore, any claims regarding celestial objects crashing into earth may have basis on truth, though scientists have not found any space object that is heading on a collision course towards earth.

Therefore, it easily made its ranks to the Mayan calendar and Bible apocalypse theory, as well as the Earth Crust Displacement Theory which has been the subject of a recent movie regarding the end of days, “2012”.

Modern astronomers, however, found no proof of this planet Nibiru despite efforts to find it for many years now, and they have finally concluded that Nibiru does not exist. Some counter this by claiming that the object has been hiding behind the Sun for several years, though such a claim is geometrically impossible. There is also a claim by Nancy Lieder that Nibiru is the cause of the gravitational disturbance between Uranus and Neptune, though this has already been debunked because the disturbance was simply caused by a slight miscalculation of Uranus’ mass.

The Aztec calendar is not the Mayan calendar, although you might say it is some version of it. The Mayan people are made up of many nations of people with varying cultures, religions and languages.  Of the many different Mayan languages, only 2 have used the hieroglyphic system.

All these signs are used as logograms (to express meaning) or syllabograms (to denote sound values) and are used to write words, phrases or sentences.

Each of the Mayan Glyphs is made up of a block containing one to five glyphs comprising of a sentence or phrase.  There is a main glyph, together with glyphs that serve as prefixes, suffixes, superscripts and subscripts.

Each block can be read from left to right or up and down and get more complicated depending on the order the glyphs are written within the block.  The Mayans also might contain 2 glyphs into one single glyph (conflation of glyphs).

Mayan glyphs are set up on the page as a grid pattern and to read the Mayan glyphs, they are read in paired columns from top to bottom in a zigzag pattern.

Most of the Mayan Glyphs were written on ceramics, walls or bark paper; carved in wood or stone; or molded in stucco.  Carved and molded Mayan Glyphs used paint however most of these have not survived.

The sounds of the Mayan language are similar to our English language.  The Mayan language had vowels like ours (a, e, i o, & u).  The Mayan language also had symbols for most consonants joined to a vowel (cha, che, chi, cho, chu; la, le, li, lo, lu; ma, me, mi, mo, mu; and so forth).  In most cases the vowels and consonants are pronounced like they are in Spanish today.

Mayan Glyphs were used for all syllables that ended in a vowel.  When they needed a syllable that ended in a consonant, they would put two glyphs together.  When we write a word using syllables that make up that word, we are writing the word “phonetically”, which simply means we are writing it with sounds.

Mayan writing is a combination of glyphs that stand for syllables or “syllable glyphs” and glyphs that stand for whole words or “logos”. There were about 200-250 syllable glyphs and about 500 logos that were used in the classic Mayan language.  Logo glyphs were written in capital letters to distinguish them from syllable glyphs.

Where the English language uses an apostrophe for a stop the Mayan language calls a stop a “glottal stop” and also is used when a consonant is used before a vowel in another word, making the sound explosive.

Some of the Mayan Glyphs actually look like a picture of what they stand for.  This is called a “pictogram”.  The Mayans liked to have a lot of fun with their writing and this is evident when viewing the glyphs as there are many different syllables or logos that can be used to form one word.  Throw in some pictograms and the glyphs are visually stimulating.

The Mayan Glyphs also use syllables and pictograms together much often as in the English language.  (ie:  as in the stop sign with the octagon).  The Mayans, like the English language, also used shortcuts or abbreviations for words. (ie:  dr for doctor)

Also, the Mayans used first letters of a string of words as a shortcut (ie:  TSE for Toronto Stock Exchange)  or pick up just the consonants or prominent sounds in a word (ie:  x-lrg for extra-large)

The Odyssey 2012

This iPhone game application is a prequel to Odyssey: The Trail of Tears. The game starts with the main protagonists (a young couple) camping out on the mountains of Sierra Nevada. They are about to have one heck of an adventure as they encounter the cataclysmic forces of nature as they scheduled their camping trip in perfect timing on the final day of 2012. You have to go through all the obstacles – ranging from all natural disasters predicted to happen in 2012 – in order to survive and live through the greatest test humankind will ever experience.

The emergence of these virtual game must-haves just goes to show that the 2012 End of the World hype just found its way to people’s most wanted gadget. If only the real thing was as easy to dodge around like a fun iPhone game.

In 2012, the President of the United States played by Danny Glover, shows a surprisingly human side for a politician when he refuses to leave his country and people and stays behind to warn everyone that the end is near so they can have time to say goodbye to their loved ones.

The 2012 movie is opened by Adrian and some of his scientist friends in India have discovered that the centre of the earth is heating up causing the earth’s crust to separate, forming fractures in the earth and multiple earthquakes.

There are many great special effects depicting major earthquakes, sink holes, volcanoes, fire bombs, floods, tsunamis, collapsing buildings, planes etc to hold the audience attention. Seeing the people fall from the collapsing buildings gave one’s heart to stop remembering 9/11, making the disasters almost believable.

The whole 2012 movie moves around different characters in the world who have bought tickets to three massive futuristic ships built by the Chinese people. All heads of states, politicians and anyone else who is rich enough to afford the 1 billion Euros per ticket, can and will be saved. All others are screwed and doomed to die.

The two main characters have enough acting intelligence and voracity to hold your attention to the plot but without them I would have been bored. The plot does not hold its own. It does not portray any scientific data or religious beliefs or truths to justify the end of days and why the earth is doomed, and so quickly. It just screams the end is coming so you better ……..run!

If you like special effects, this is the movie for you. If you are expecting a plot you will unfortunately be disappointed. I think this movie may make people think. Think about their own mortality and the coming end of days. Whether you believe it will happen on December 21, 2012 as the movie suggests, or sometime in our lifetime, our children`s lifetime or our grand children`s lifetime, the end of the world is sure to happen as nothing lasts forever.

As God releases his fury in the end times through a massive global earthquake like nothing before, simultaneous around the world, mountains, islands and cities are going to be levelled. A supernatural event this destructive would have to be an act of God.

God is trying to shake the human race awake to realize their need for Him else we will feel the wrath of God’s judgement. The unprecedented size and destruction of events will destroy life on the planet. It is a matter of when, not if.

There are currently super-volcanoes scattered across the globe that can emit 100 cubic kilometres or more of hot gasses and ash. Scientists know of at least 8 in existence and are hard to find as they are not in the form of a mountain. Several are in the USA, one is in Yellowstone. Science and the scripture agree our prospects will be bleak and there is little we can do in preparation for the consequences.

Another link to the impending apocalypse is global warming. The escalation of heat will scorch mankind causing 50% of the earth’s population to die. Rise in sea level due to melting glaciers, intensified hurricanes, drought, strife, conflict, increased terrorism are all part of the chain reaction.

God has given angels power to impose His wrath on the earth and its people when the time is right. The last days will be filled with wars, rumours of wars, plagues, disasters, earthquakes, water turning to blood so it is not life preserving, but life taking. Occurrences of catastrophes that are currently taking place are revealed in scripture prophecies and described in the Book of Revelation. God has disclosed to us what will transpire in order for the end of the world as we know it to take place.

Scientists identify the arctic ice caps melting drastically. We have seen masses of dead sea creatures on beaches and the water looking like blood due to Red Tide algae creates a potent toxin.

The darkening of the sun and the moon turning into blood are signs of the great tribulation in the last days. This is nothing created by man, but God decides to turn the light out. A European oracle, who predicted terrorist attacks, was called Merlin. Legends of Merlin stem from England, dating from the 5th century. He was looked at as part demon. It is believed that Merlin the Wild was a title, rather than a name, and there are a few men who can be attributed to the title.

Merlin predicted events such as the 1st American colony on virgin soil, horrors of the Nazi holocaust, 21st century cell phones, disasters in Great Britain such as power stations melting down causing 20 000 to die. Yì Jīng, or I Ching, is the Chinese book of changes which prophesies the end of the world in 2012. It is approximately 5000 years old, originating around 200BC and is used for fortune telling. Its vague statements provide something for everyone. Ask a question and it can provide a relevant answer.

In the past decades the I Ching has become an oracle of doom via Terence McKenna. In the 1970s, McKenna mapped the I Ching’s 64 hexagrams and found they correlate to the interconnectedness of the universe, corresponding to major shifts in humanity, and through his graphical interpretation, predicted an end time date in 2012.

Another oracle originates from England, called Mother Shipton, who was born in the late 1400’s. She foretold the death of Henry 8th, named Queen Victoria, predicted WW1 & WW2. Although original texts are not found, people wrote books on her oral predictions of global progress followed by doomsday and attributed them to Mother Shipton.

The Hopi Indian tribe located in the USA during the late 1940s prepared for world destruction. They believed the world had already gone through four transitions and was about to transition to the 5th world. This event would be a doomsday, with earth quakes, the sea rising, the sun turning hotter, melting glaciers that create rising water. In the end of days the world will crisscross by webs. Does this allude to the World Wide Web?

The Webbot project that began in the 1990’s was created to scan the World Wide Web for hints to predict stock futures. It reports back ambiguous particulars, analysing and attempting to read the unconscious mood of the world through website spiders.

The Webbot combs the internet looking for key words of interest, and aggregates the reads. The predictions became ominous. In 2001 an analyst realised predictions of the terrorist’s attacks of 9-11. There have been a series of accurate predictions such as tsunamis, anthrax attacks, and hurricane Katrina. Now they say it is predicting serious events in 2012.

The most famous predictions of doomsday are in the Bible. Apocalypse is prophesised in Revelations. John the apostle documents the fight of good verses evil and foresees global warfare centred in the Middle East and the rise of the anti-Christ.

Although it is unanimous through these sources that destruction and desolation is imminent, there is one hope. The most positive end time event is revealed in the Christian bible. Through rapture, the saved, being those who believe in Christ as the Saviour, will be spared the fire and brimstone and brought to heaven prior to the destruction of this world as we know it.

Ancient oracles prophesies correlate to something dire occurring in today’s time. The end time and coming apocalypse has always been predicted as imminent. Various predictions of the destruction phenomenon mesh with a global cataclysm in 2012. Is it random noise or real prophesy?

One of the most controversial legacies that the Mayans have left behind is their system of tracking time – the Mayan Calendar. This system of a calendar is one of the best documented relics in history as it exemplifies the highly advanced knowledge of the ancient people. With its intricacy and accuracy of depicting time, it not only showed an integral part of an ancient culture and lifestyle but also important signs and predictions of the future.

The Mayan Calendar is perhaps the most wondrous of developed systems in the ancient world. It contains a complete description of cycles that historically correspond to significant events in the history of the planet. This 5,000 year old calendar has predicted so accurately the phases of the world which science has also discovered and proven to be true. There is a great deal of knowledge behind the logic of how the Mayans viewed time and the future.

The intrigue that the Mayan Calendar has stirred is its specific calculations that the current cycle of the world is due to end in December 2012. Does this particular end of cycle mean the actual end of the world itself?

We may never know what would really happen and who to truly listen to as there are a great load of speculations being made as to what will happen in 2012. Whether the Mayan Calendar has indeed indicated the end of the world by the year 2012 or implied another, we will never know until time has actually passed by. We may never know until it happens or we can always heed what the signs of the times tell us.

(CNN Reports) — As congressional hearings into the massive oil spill growing in the Gulf of Mexico begin this morning, the troubles in the water keep on going.

The undersea oil well, following a drilling rig’s April 20 explosion 50 miles off Louisiana’s coast, is spewing up to 210,000 gallons of light sweet crude a day into the Gulf, officials say, and so far there’s no answer in sight on how to fix it.

(CNN reports) — Oklahoma’s governor Tuesday declared states of emergency in 56 counties following a string of deadly tornadoes and severe storms that swept through the area the day before.
Gov. Brad Henry took an aerial tour of one of the hardest hit areas Tuesday afternoon.
“I lost track of the number of damaged and destroyed homes that we saw,” Henry said. “Literally hundreds and I think thousands of homes have received damage in these storms, and many, many of those homes have been destroyed.”

(CNN reports) — Ash from an Icelandic volcano is continuing to affect European flights on Monday, delaying transatlantic aircraft and threatening flights over parts of Ireland and Portugal.

Eurocontrol, the agency that manages European air travel, said: “During the afternoon, areas of higher ash concentration could move in a north-easterly direction from the Atlantic into the Iberian Peninsula.”

Many 2012 theories predict that Doomsday will occur as a b result of changes in our world’s climate and weather conditions, resulting in natural disasters such as the current volcanic activity in Iceland, tornados, tsunamis and hurricanes around the globe.

The mythology behind the 2012 legend focuses on the ancient Mayan Long Count calendar which was a Mesoamerican calendar system that mysteriously ends on December 21, 2012.  The 2012 Mayan calendar also coincides with the winter solstice and the “galactic alignment” which is predicted to occur when our solar system passes directly through the galactic equator.

The Mayans believe that their 2012 Mayan calendar predicts merely the finishing point of a certain age or “underworld” (a galactic underworld) and the entry point into the universal underworld of conscious evolution and revolution.  A collective rebirth or newfound cosmic awareness, if you will.   An amazing era in which the human race expands their collective, conscious awareness.

The Mayan civilization inhabited several regions included southern Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Belize and western Honduras.  Their region flourished between the third and tenth centuries AD but by the 1200s the Spanish had taken over much of their land, but Mayan descendants still spoke the Mayan language, and historical records were kept in order to keep the Mayan way of life.

The way of life for the Mayan people revolved around time. Ancient priests were consulted on civil, religious and agricultural matters, and their advice would come from readings and teachings of the sacred Mayan calendars.  They had many different calendars to track different things. The long count calendar being important as it counts the time between certain events and how they relate to each other. Time was so important that a lot of Mayans named their children after the date in which they were born. Thus the importance of the 2012 Mayan calendar.

The Mayans themselves have not predicted what will happen in 2012 just that their 2012 Mayan calendar ends at that time. There is nothing scientifically proven that anything will happen in December 2012 but many people predict or fear that things will.

Some possible scenarios include:

Asteroid/meteor/comet collides with earth, Coronal mass ejection (solar storm),

Magnetic pole shift, Explosion form the black hole at the centre of our galaxy,

Religious apocalypse, Alien invasion, Gamma ray burst, flu pandemic,

Other people believe that the 2012 Mayan calendar predicts the start of something better for our planet.  The global shift of conciseness and a spiritual revolution of sorts.  The leading of our world into a new age of total world socio-political and spiritual activism.  Peace, harmony and understanding for all people.
