Famous People and Celebrities Believing in 2012

2012-celebrities

When celebrities talk about 2012, or any other subject matter, it seems all else stops and every ear turns to hear them. It’s like being famous gave them the power to shut other people’s mouths so that they can blabber theirs. You know the ones… Oprah, Ellen DeGeneres, even Simon Cowell, American Idol’s infamous judge – they speak, and the whole world stares back at agape, waiting for what seems like a nuclear bomb to drop off. Oh yes, the wonders of stardom, the downfall of common sense.

But what if… these famous people, wielded with the power to move people’s thoughts, and dreams, and fears, succumbed to accepting the 2012 Doomsday Prophecy as their ultimate truth? What if they have already made their minds prepared for an “inevitable” disaster forthcoming? Alas, several celebrities believe in 2012. And here are some of them:

Woody Harrelson: Woody is recently famous for his small but effective role for “No Country for Old Men”, an Oscar Best Picture awardee. In sharing about his belief on 2012, he clearly claims: “I think that there is a real sense in our culture that we are heading towards some kind of apocalypse – maybe it is part of the Christian concept of the apocalypse but I am not saying that is an exclusively Christian concept.”

Canibus: Canibus, or Germaine Williams, is an intricate and complex rhyme scheme rapper with a knack for punchlines, as well as great sound techniques. His album “Beyond 2012” explains his interest in December 21, 2012.

Darren Daulton: Darren is best remembered for his stint with Major League Baseball team Philadelphia Phillies, and even earn the title the “best clubhouse leader the Phillies ever had”. Daulton staunchly believes that the world will end in 2012, as evidenced by his book, “If They Only Knew”.

Mel Gibson: As if we didn’t know, Mel Gibson is a two-time Academy Award-winning American-Australian actor, director, producer and screenwriter. He shares his belief while directing his ancient epic “Apocalypto”: Us Magazine reported that Gibson said jokingly, “I just wanna draw the parallels. I don’t wanna be a doomsayer, but the Mayan calendar ends in 2012. So have fun, boys and girls!”

Lil’ Wayne: Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. better known for his stage name Lil Wayne, is one of the best selling rappers in the world. He is convinced the world will soon end after reading about Mayan prophecies on his tour bus, and he is sure recent events in world history prove the Mayans were right about the world ending in 2012. He tells Blender magazine, “The world is about to end in 2012…’cause the Mayans made calendars, and they stop at 2012. I got encyclopedias on the bus.”

Smashing Pumpkins: The Smashing Pumpkins are rock bands that declare their belief in 2012 in their song “Doomsday Clock”.

Montel Williams: Montel is a famous television talk show host who did a show on the subject of December 21 2012 airing on November of 2007. The producer of the show indicated that Mr. Williams was a true believer in the coming events of 2012, and it was later learned that he is writing a book on the subject.

Just like the year 2000, some celebrities believe 2012 is the end of the world, and others to not – feel free to view more articles or browse more 2012 resources.

There was only one 2012 website that had celebrity followers on it, and among them were Woody Harrelson, who never really said he believed in anything. What they had quoted him saying was mostly about environmental/climate/political things. Mel Gibson’s word were taken while promoting his movie “Apocolyptco” (hence $), Jack Van Impe, who’s kind of a loon anyway, a former baseball star who wrote a book about 2012 (more $$) , Montel Williams (no career anymore and believes Sylvia Brown is psychic), two recording stars (more $$…see a theme here?). They will feel pretty silly in 2013. It seems that the celebrities use the controversary to keep people interested. dont believe everything u read thier just gossip!
